Buell “Woody” Woodson Cash Jr., age 67, passed away April 29, 2023 surrounded by family. Devoted husband of Bonnie for over 28 years. Proud father of Daniel (Ashley) Cash, Nicole (Russell) Newsome, Colleen (Gavin Wilson) Wade, Travis (Tera) Wade, and Elizabeth Cash. Woody will also be missed by many extended family members and many, many wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buell Sr. and Helen (nee: Little) Cash, and his beloved sister Beverly Sue.
Woody proudly served our Country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Fenton VFW Post 3243 and the Albany, Kentucky American Legion Post 0135. Always a sailor, Woody was constantly to be found on Runyan Lake or Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee.
Military Honors & Committal Prayers will be held on Thursday, May 4th at 3 PM - Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, MI. 48442. A celebration of Woody’s life will continue at the conclusion of services at the Holly Vault, 202 S. Saginaw St., Holly, MI 48442. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local Veteran’s Administration Hospital and hug your loved ones tight. The family would also like offer special thanks to the ICU team at the VA Medical Center in Ann Arbor and to Woody’s nephew, Dr. Robert Vaidya.
