Wilma Gene (Hempton) Skinner

Beloved mother and “Nanny” Wilma Skinner, age 90, passed away peacefully at home on November 1, 2021.

Wilma Gene Hempton was born in Flint, Michigan, on August 25, 1931, to Archibald and Mercia Hempton. She married Donald Skinner, her loving husband of 67 years, on February 10, 1949. Wilma was mother to Gayle (Roger) Bird, Marcia Skinner, Douglas Skinner, Daniel Skinner, David (Mary) Skinner, and Donald (Claudia) Skinner Jr. and she raised her children with love and devotion. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald, her firstborn son Douglas, and her son-in-law, Roger. She is survived by her remaining children, her grandchildren Talisa (Gary) Gauthier, Vincent (Julie) Bird, Lindsey (Garrett) Ruff, Ashley (Ryan) Krueger, Cole Skinner, Myles Skinner, Grahm Skinner, Madison Skinner, Jackie Skinner, and Samantha Skinner, and her great grandchildren Spencer (Rose) Gauthier, Tatum (Simeon)Shindoll, Dominick, Jalon and Brooklyn Bird, Avalon and Aidan Stoker, Aubrey and Garrison Ruff, Ryley and Drake Krueger and Jeremiah Skinner.
