Mr. William Everett Williams, “Bill”, age 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2020 at his home in Swartz Creek, MI. with Hospice care. Bill, aka “W2”, was born September 13, 1935 in Johnston City, Illinois and moved to Michigan in 1960. He retired from the Oakland County Road Commission in 1997. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and during the course of his life, enjoyed vacation homes in both Houghton Lake, MI. and Plant City, FL. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball and spending time with his family. He was a great storyteller and shared many humorous tales of his youth in Southern Illinois. He is survived by his wife Janet Williams and children Brenda (Mike) Bell of Lake City, Bob (Drina) Mahrle of Durand, Beth Mahrle of Swartz Creek and Amy (Scott) Marshall of Grand Blanc; Grandchildren Justin Moore, Nick Moore, Jacob Mahrle and Alexis Marshall. Also surviving are his great grandchildren Aiden, Natalie and Madison. He was preceded in death by his parents Burl and Ruby Williams, sisters Lois Carroll and Eva June Williams and daughter Cheryl Mensch. Cremation will take place per his request and a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
