William Dee Miller passed away peacefully Thursday June 20, 2024, at Symphony Care Network, Linden Michigan. William was born March 28, 1924, in North Star, OH and spent the first half of his life living in the Indian Lake, Ohio area graduating from Roosevelt High School in Dayton where he was a basketball standout. Although he lived in Michigan many years he remained a Buckeye fan. Bill was also a “snowbird” residing in Briny Breezes, FL during winters. He is a WWII veteran, having served as a Signal Operator on a sub-chaser in the Pacific Theater. He owned and operated Spend A Day Marina on Indian Lake and had an illustrious career representing boat and trailer manufacturing concerns for some 50 years including owning two Shoreline Boat Trailer assembly operations- one in Belle Center OH and one in Owosso Michigan. He was an avid golfer- living on the 18th fairway of Spring Meadows Country Club for 44 years and golfed “his age” many times. Bill leaves behind his wife, Cora Lou Miller, son and grandson, Mike Miller and Troy Miller of Indian Lake OH, daughter Pamela of Olney Springs, CO. Stepson and stepdaughter Bill and Lisa DeHart. He was preceded in death by his father Herbert Miller, mother, Opal Hatfield and stepdaughter Laura Boughner. Interment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery with military honors Wednesday, July 10, at 12:30pm.
