The Celebration of Life of Thomas “Tom” Wheeler

A limb has fallen from our family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, “grieve not for me.”  Remember the times, the laughter, the songs. The good life I lived while I was strong.

Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.

Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls. I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin. Until the day comes we’re together again.

In loving memory of Thomas “Tom” Graydon Wheeler. a beloved Husband, Father, Uncle, Grandfather, and Great grandfather. Tom was born in Ypsilanti, Mi to Elizabeth Wheeler and Graydon Wheeler on October 28,1950. He graduated from Wayne Memorial High and attended Eastern Michigan University.

Tom was the beloved Husband of Cheryl for 51 years, and the proud father to Cullen (Natasha) and Chris (Lori). He was an amazing Grandfather to Joslyn, Caden, Graydon, Colton, and Merrick, and a Great Grandfather to Novalee, Octavia, Vaeda, and Colsen. Tom brought so much joy into his loved ones' lives. Whether it be the sound of him singing and playing guitar throughout the day, or seeing one of his beautiful paintings, cartoon cards, or funny doodles and sketches, he always had a way of making others smile. He loved animals and could often be found in the yard tending to the bird feeders or putting feed out for the deer. Anyone who knew Tom, knows he would say “let’s not make this a big fuss, I don’t want anyone worrying about me… let’s not make this a big deal now”.  

We invite anyone who knew and loved Tom to a celebration of life on Sunday, October 8, 2023, from 1:00pm-5:00pm at Broadview Christmas Tree Farm, 4380 N. Hickory Ridge Rd., Highland, MI 48357. At 2:00p, we will remember the wonderful man he was and all the beautiful memories that were created with him throughout the years. We also invite anyone who would like to share a memory or funny story to do so during this time.
