Susan ‘Sue” Ann Eby, age 81, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024 at home in Fenton. Sue was born January 18, 1943 in Flint, MI the daughter of Robert and Geraldine (nee: Hilliard) Stubbs. Sue attended Bendle High School and graduated from Mandeville High School in 1961. She graduated from Hurley School of Nursing in 1964 and married her dear husband Mike Eby the same year. She and Mike lived in Fenton, MI. Sue was a devoted and loving mother, mother in law and grandmother. She was a child at heart and approached life with a sense of curiosity and pure enjoyment. She loved gardening, camping, and swimming, especially in the Great Lakes. She grew to love quilting and was planning quilts until her last days. Sue was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Fenton from the age of 16. She had a passion for teaching Bible Classes and taught many generations of children.
Without question her greatest joy in life was her family. Family members include her husband, Mike Eby; her six children, daughter Elizabeth Eby-Tobias (Doug Tobias), son Joe (Tammy) Eby, daughters, Sara Eby, Kate Eby, Amanda Eby (EJ Hamacher), and Debbie Eby; grandchildren, Aaron, Anna and Alex Eby, Joshua (Lily) Tobias, Zachary Tobias, and Sophie Tobias; brothers, Mike (Dianne) Stubbs, Bill (Kristy) Stubbs, and sister Jennifer Sims; nephews and niece, Mark, John, Bill, Bud, Abby, and their families.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 1st, from 4pm-7pm at the Temrowski Family Funeral Home, 500 Main Street in Fenton. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, April 2nd at 12 Noon with visitation starting at 11am, at the First Baptist Church of Fenton, 860 North Leroy Street, Fenton. A private burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Linden.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Youth Camp Scholarship Fund.
