Susan A. (Shute) Cole

Susan A. Cole, age 71, went to be with the Lord and her husband on December 26, 2021.  She is the loving wife of the late Joe W. Cole.  Amazing mother of James (Jessica Schulte) Rasmussen, Carrie (Frank Modafferi) Richert, James (Jennifer) Cole, and Tonya (Bob) Houck.  Sue also leaves 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Dennis; and many friends.  She was predeceased by her father, Richard; mother, Beatrice; step mother, Marie; and sisters, Marilyn Shute and Laura Rutherford.  She graduated from Kearsley High School in 1968.  She worked as a bookkeeper for Genesee Township where she retired after 25 years of service.  Sue enjoyed reading and being part of her church family, but especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  A memorial gathering will be held on April 30, 2022 at Holy Ground Baptist Church, 4381 E. Stanley Rd., Genesee 48437.
