Sidney S. Smith

Smith, Sidney S., age 68, of Genesee, died Monday, May 13th, 2024 at his residence. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 17, 1 PM at Davison Free Methodist Church, 502 Church St. Davison. Friends may begin gathering at noon.

Sidney was born in Flint, Michigan on December 7, 1955, the first son of Sidney Edgar Smith and Gloria Fitzpatrick. Sid married Tina Cobb in 1983, and together they had three children. He retired from being an electrician in 2006. Sid enjoyed plenty of hobbies to keep him occupied, including playing with his many grandkids, playing the guitar, reading, playing video games, and collecting coins, which his grandfather got him into. He especially loved playing games and visiting with his many grandchildren and loved ones.

Surviving are wife Tina; children, Sidney Jr. (Holly), Adam and Brianna (Chris) Williams; siblings, Suzanne (John), Steven, Michele, Chris (Lynn), Paul, Lisa (Matt), Cindy, and Connie (Dave); grandchildren, Emma, Luna, Siren and Sofia; Family Friends, Cheryl, Roland (Kasey) and Robert (Jenette); and mother in law, Wilda Cobb. Sid also leaves several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Sidney Smith and Gloria Fitzpatrick Seignac; step mother Gladys; brother Phillip and step-brother Rick.
