Sidney August Fay, age 71, of Fenton passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones. Sidney was born on June 13, 1952 to the late Russell Fay and Mamie Trego in Flint, Michigan. Sid was a fun, silly, loving, pocket t-shirt wearing kind of guy. He enjoyed working on old cars and spending time with his family; he especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren: fishing, getting ice cream and donuts, and letting them co-pilot his riding lawn mower. He served his country in the US Army from 1972 to 1974, and was a long-time employee of King Cigar & Sundries and later, Lear Seating.
Sidney is survived by his children, Heidi (Mike) Wagner, Jeff (Nikki) Fay, Melissa Wolf; his grandchildren, Zachary Wagner, Ashley Wagner, Alex Morones, Daniel Morones, Kendyl Fay, Isaiah Fay, Chloe Carr, and Elijah Wolf; and his brother Mitchell (Barb) Both. Sidney was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Mark, his grandson Ezekiel, and his grandson Brandon.
Funeral services will be held at Temerowski Family Funeral Home on 500 Main St. in Fenton on Thursday, March 28th. Visitation is from 11am to 12:30pm with the funeral beginning at 12:30pm, followed by a Veterans burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the Fenton VFW Hall immediately following the burial.
