Sheldon Williams Obituary

Sheldon Leslie Williams, age 90, died August 20, 2020 at Medilodge of Montrose, MI. He was born December 5, 1929 in Hanover, Michigan to the Reverend William Leslie Williams and Andrea Martina Hansen. Surviving are his daughters, Kathi Tarrant of Ann Arbor, Kerri (Mike) Staley of Kalamazoo, Carol (Larry) Allgood of Florida, Sue Oliver of West Branch, and Sandra (Ray) Fletcher of Colorado; son, Steve (Shawna) Stovey of California; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn (Allen) Jones of Flushing; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat, “Mookie”. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joann and his son-in-law, Rodney. Mr. Williams served in the U.S. Navy and retired from General Motors. He was a private pilot and a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association, a member of AERO R/C Club of Greater Flint and a member of the Flint Banjo Club. He enjoyed flying and aviation, fishing, boating, woodworking, remote control planes, and animals.
