Ruth E. (Eaton) Colt

Ruth Elinor Colt (nee: Eaton), age 95 of Fenton, formerly of Leesburg, FL and Buffalo, NY died Friday February 17, 2023.  Interment will be held Friday, February 24, 2023 at 12:30pm at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.  A Celebration of Life luncheon will follow at the Hunter’s house.

Mrs. Colt was born in Coraopolis, PA, the daughter of Walter and Vivian (nee: Cumpston) Eaton.  Her family moved to Warren, PA and then to Buffalo, NY when she was in high school.  It was there that she met the love of her life, Jimmy Colt.  Ruth dedicated her life to her family.  She especially loved spending vacations with her grandkids and great grandkids.  Mrs. Colt was a lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 695.

She is survived by her children, James R. (Debra) Colt of Clarence, NY, David E. (Vickie) Colt of Rolesville, NC, Elizabeth C. (Dan) Hunter of Fenton, MI, and Thomas W. (Kristy) Colt of Milford, MI; 9, grandchildren; 7, great grandchildren; and sister, M. Louise Gribbins of Leesburg, FL.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Colt; brother, Paul A. Eaton, and daughter in law, Susan Berdine Colt.  Donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
