Ronald L. Kelm, age 77 of Wolverine Lake passed peacefully on Friday, August 2, 2024 holding his daughters hand. He was born October 15, 1946 in Covington, Kentucky. The son of the late Lloyd Hugo and Mary Elizabeth (Thompson) Kelm. He attended Dixie Heights High School graduating in 1964.
Ron proudly served his country in the United States Air Force 1965-1971. He had a career in the sales industry. For 50 years Ron ran the sound system for the Franklin County fair. It was the family summer vacation loved and enjoyed by his children and now his grandchildren. His tradition will be carried on by his son Brandon. During his retirement he was a Snap-on and Amsoil dealer. He also enjoyed his job at O’Reillys.
Family was the most important thing to him. He loved spending time with his grandkids and was there for them whenever he was needed. He never missed a holiday, birthday or graduation. Ron was also a good friend. If you met him once, you were a friend for life.
He is survived by his precious caregiver Paddycake, his children David (Dora) Kelm, Jennifer Beavers and Brandon Kelm. Grandchildren Jake, Cameron, Dana, Delaney, Drew and Bella. The family would like to thank Margaret Brown, Jens fiance Mike Goad and honorary granddaughter Emily Gnatkowski for their love, support and help caring for Ron. Also thanks to Nikki De Luca for making his favorite German chocolate cake.
Per Ron’s request cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held September 7th, 2024, 10:00am at St. John’s Congregational Church in Covington, Kentucky. Family will receive friends and loved ones during a visitation Saturday, September 7th, 2024 9:00am.
