Robert William Cobb

Robert William Cobb, age 63, passed away on June 29, 2021. Beloved husband of Jung Hwa Ham. Dear father of Shawna Velazquez, Rebecca (Beau) Stover and Robert Cobb Jr. Grandpa of Tiana, Brody, Sofia, Alyssa, Lily and Kayla. Son of Wilda Cobb and the late Obie Cobb.  Brother of Tina (Sid) Smith, Jacqueline (the late Douglas) Winters and Jeffrey (Teresa) Cobb. Son-in-law of Kwon Sol Nye. Brother-in-law of Jin Suk Ham, Man Ok Ham and Jung-a Ham. Robert also leaves many nieces, nephews and friends.

Robert was born in Flint, Michigan on February 6, 1958. After graduation he served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer and then to work for the State of Michigan as a corrections officer and also for the Genesee County Sheriff’s office. He obtained his Master’s degree, while working and raising 3 children.  It was a special missionary trip to South Korea that changed his life path. He met his wife and love of 20 years, Jung Hwa. He quickly became a Professor in marketing in South Korea for several years. Robert also published 3 books on marketing.  His contribution to education, his zest for life, and love of his family, will be greatly missed. 

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 5, 11am at Higher Praise Church, 4060 Grand Blanc Road, Swartz Creek, MI 48473.
