Randy May Obituary

Randy Bruce May of Holly, MI, age 79, passed away peacefully at the Regency of Grand Blanc on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Randy was born on June 24, 1946 to Max May and Lila
Hurlbert in Flint, Michigan. He married the love of his life, Mary Helen Bennett on February 12, 1966. That union of 56 years produced two daughters that he adored, Lori May Masi (Scott) of
Ortonville, Michigan and Heidi May Wiggins (Shawn) of Fort Worth, Texas.

Randy served in the United States Marine Corp from March,1966 through his honorable discharge in March,1968. Randy served his country honorably and fiercely in the Vietnam War.
Randy graduated in 1965 from Ainsworth High School and retired from General Motors on September 30, 1995, as a proud UAW member.

Randy loved hunting, fishing, golf and camping. Randy, Lori and Heidi were blessed to be able to take a Daddy/ Daughter trip to Alaska together in July, where special and unforgettable
memories were made. He was passionate about spending time with his family. Each one held a special and unique place in his heart. Randy was ready to join his beloved bride Mary, who
preceded him in death on June 30, 2022. Randy is survived by his loving daughters, Lori May Masi (Scott) of Ortonville, MI and Heidi May Wiggins (Shawn) of Fort Worth, TX. He is also
survived by three sons, Tim Eckel, Chris Eckel and Mark Eckel (Jennifer). He leaves to cherish his memory his surviving grandchildren. Bryant Piotraczk, Ali Meredith (Zak), Haley Benson
(Wade), Kendal Wiggins, Kegan Eckel, Lydia Eckel, Audrey McCann (Sean), Allyson Eckel, Makayla Eckel and Ethan Eckel. He also leaves behind his beloved dog Sonny, which was 
rehomed to a loving family.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents Max and Lila, his wife Mary, his grandson Tylar Piotraczk, his brother Larry May, his sister Donna Mullet and his beloved step-father Don Mullet.

Per Randy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and Interment with Full Military Honors will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery on October 17, 2025 at 10:30 am. Following the
Interment, a Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Holly Hills.
