Pearl Dunn Obituary

Pearl Lorraine Anderson Crosby Dunn, born to Edwin & Mable Anderson in Clearbrook Minnesota, passed away surrounded by family in her home at the age of 97. She was blessed to have ten siblings; Ervin Anderson, Doreen Loomis, Floyd Anderson, Carol Haller, Harvey Anderson, Johnny Jorgensen, Linda Buchholz, Ella Bell, Ester Black, and Bobby Jorgensen. Pearl will be remembered as a passionate, genuine, generous and soft spoken devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.

Pearl married Everett Crosby in 1946 in Everett Washington. Together they raised five children; Terry Crosby, Linnet Conn, Susan (Mike) Brunson, Barbara (Bob) VanGordon, and Julie (Dan) Brannon. Pearl endlessly loved her family through her devoted care giving. She shared her passions of gardening, bird watching, baking, and summer vacations to Minnesota with her children. Her 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and children were the absolute joys of her life. Grandchildren: Tina (Brion) Freeman, Anna Brunson, Sarah Brunson, Jessica (Michael) Dabish, Kayla (Evan) Meinicke, Erin (Joey) Williamson, Aubrey Brannon. Great grandchildren: Ayden and Addison Stallings; Suzie Kirkon, Crosby and Ivy Kleine; Michael Jr., Julian and Olivia Dabish; Bryce, Troy and Luke Meinicke; Ellery Brannon and Everett Holbeck. Their involvement in her life kept her spirit young. Pearl was also hard working and owned Crosby Catering for 47 years. She was a competitive bowler where she gained many lifelong friends until the age of 92. Pearl never missed a Tigers game, loved playing whist, hand and foot, scrabble and was an avid writer.

After Everett’s passing, Pearl married Tom Smith. They bowled and enjoyed many winters in Florida. Years later after Tom's passing, she had the good fortune to share nine special enduring years of love with Percy Dunn until his passing in 2008. They shared two step children Penny Finley and Mike (Judy) Dunn and extended family. She gained a special friendship with Chalmers Field for the past five years and adored their weekly lunch and scrabble dates. Pearl will passionately be remembered for her beautiful smile and kind, gentle, unique loving soul.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 1pm at Temrowski Family Funeral Home 500 Main St., Fenton. Friends may visit Tuesday beginning at 11am until the time of service.
