Patricia Gail Kitto, age 66, died unexpectedly in a car accident on July 24, 2025. She was born on March 9, 1959 in Flint, Michigan to Judith and Sherman Green. She lived her whole life in the Flint area, and worked in the banking industry for over 25 years before becoming a caregiver in her later years.
She is survived by her brothers Keith Green and wife Robin, and Chris Green; daughters Brienn (Regis) Kline and husband Jeremy, and Danielle (Regis) Trotter and husband Rogers; niece Hannah Green and husband Cody Sanders; grandchildren Sylvia Kline, Patrick Kline, Brennan Kline, Fiona Kline, Penelope Trotter, and Rhett Trotter; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Patty loved a good cup of coffee, the “right” kind of chocolate (not Palmers!), the Detroit Tigers, strawberry cake for her birthday, cooking 4 AM pot roasts, and cozy slippers. She was an avid reader her whole life, and passed that love of reading down to both of her daughters. She was also a full-time, professional worrier. Patty was really good at making things feel special, from important occasions like birthdays to little things like the first snow. She was inherently kind, and spent many years opening her home and her heart to anyone who needed it. She loved her family fiercely, and she was incredibly proud of all of her grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at 3pm at The Valley Church located at 4201 Lippincott Blvd in Burton. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Odyssey House of Flint at www.odysseyvillage.com.
