Norman G. Giles

Mr. Norman Gene Giles, age 77, has gone home to be with the Lord Monday, March 23, 2020 in Mt. Morris, Michigan. He was in the care of the love of his life, Ruth, and his faithful companion dog, Kayty, during a strong fight with cancer. Norman was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on June 24, 1942 to Maryanna (Cholewski) and Howard Giles. Although Norman never went to nor graduated grade school, he acquired an education in welding and had a long and successful career. Norman loved his work and retired a Master Welder. Most of Norman’s life was spent in California where he enjoyed chitchatting with the guys at Granny’s Donuts. He was a great story teller about his life. He had a great love for riding motorcycles, which began at the age of 13. He loved shooting his guns, going into nature and observing the beauty of it all, and caring for his dogs throughout his years.  Norman is survived by, the love of his life, Ruth. Brother, Howard (Susan) Giles. Children: Norman (Cindy) Giles, Keiran (Mark) Mazzoni, Marianna Giles, Charlotte (Lamar) Likes, Stephanie Giles, Leslie Jaurequi, Christopher Giles, Shane Moss, and Sunset (Bobby) Burgos. Loving companion, Kayty and numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren, he also leaves his niece Averie and nephew Mark. Norman was a loving, argumentative, teach life lessons, give the shirt off his back kind of person and Father. He will be missed and loved. John 1:1-2 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning and he will be with God in the end.  Our family would like to thank Ascension Hospice, Melissa and Matt for their wonderful care of Norman.
