Michael George Weaver, 66, of Mt. Morris, Michigan passed away on April 13, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.
Mike was born on October 29, 1956 to George Weaver and Ila Osborne in Flint, Michigan. After Mike graduated from Clio High School in 1975, he went on to the United States Army. Following the Army, Mike pursued a career in maintenance, construction and other handyman type activities.
In 1980 Mike fell head over heels for Dawn Hill in Tawas City, Michigan. He and Dawn were married shortly thereafter on March 14, 1981. Together they have two children Alisha and Christopher.
Mike worked hard up until the day he was diagnosed with brain cancer. On his, very rare, off time he enjoyed camping, mowing the lawn, bowling, playing pool and helping others with anything they needed. Everyone will always remember Mike as being the “go to” guy when they could not figure out how to do something.
Mike had a big personality. His sense of humor was second to none. He often told funny stories of eating dog food, being thrown in the back of his truck by his daughter-in-law and the “Black Boot” story. Mike was a kid at heart and showed this at every chance he could. Mike had many food obsessions, he will be always be remembered as a love of chocolate, hot dogs, hamburgers, crackers and meatloaf. If you had any of these things, Mike would greet you with his infamous “Hello Friend”.
Mike was predeceased by his parents, George (Ilene) Weaver and Ila Belle (Max) Osborne and his brother Gary Weaver. He is survived by his wife, Dawn, Children Alisha (Jesse) Crandell, Christopher (Tina) Ashmore, Michael Weaver (from a previous marriage), his granddaughters Anevay and Aubrey Ashmore, his siblings Tom (Mary Gay) Weaver, Yvonne Muma, Annette (BJ) Eudy, Rick (Terry) Osborne, Beckie (Frank) Izworski, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
