Maureen Kaye Simair, age 86 passed away surrounded by her family on April 29, 2022. Beloved mother of Teresa (Rob) Gotch and Susan (Greg) Thomas. Dear grandma of Mandy, Michael (Jenae), Kelly, Melissa, Lee (Ashley), Cody and Chasidy. Great grandma of Christian, Constance, Cameron, Collin, Bryson, Joey, Baylee, Chloe, Isaac, Stevie, Claire, Bradley and Lillie. Maureen also leaves her special love, Jim Roth; the dog love of her life, Libby; as well as, many many friends. Maureen was predeceased by her son, Steve Dungey; parents, Clarence Sullivan and Dorothy Sullivan and brother William Sullivan.
Maureen had a passion for fashion and beauty. She also loved food and enjoyed many restaurants around Fenton, especially the Laundry, where she ate 5-6 times a week. Maureen was a social butterfly. Family gathering and social functions were her favorite. She belonged to a book club, an exercise group and was a Eucharistic Minister for over 15 years at St. Jude’s Church. She spent time gardening and liked being outdoors. Maureen’s zest for life and adventure will be greatly missed.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 11am at St. Jude’s Episcopal Church, 106 E. Elizabeth St., Fenton. Friends may visit on Monday 4-7pm at Temrowski Family Funeral Home, 500 Main St., Fenton. And Tuesday 10am until the time of service at church. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Hadley.
