Mary Helen (Bennett) May

Mary Helen (Bennett) May of Curran, Michigan, passed away on June 30, 2022 in her home with her family by her side. Mary gained her angel wings and is now with our Lord and Savior after a 2 year battle with cancer.

 Mary was born April 3, 1947 in Flint, Michigan to Robert & Emma Bennett. She married her high school sweetheart Randy May February 12, 1966. They were married and celebrated their love for 56 years. Mary worked for Fisher Body until they closed. She went back to school and earned her degree and became a licensed nurse aide. She was a true caregiver and loved volunteering at her church. Her hobbies were baking, knitting, fishing, traveling and making blue jean quilts.

Mary is survived by her beloved husband Randy May; daughters, Lori (Scott) Masi, Heidi (Shawn) Wiggins; grandchildren, Tylar, Bryant and Ali Piotraczk, Haley (Wade) Benson and Kendal Wiggins; great grandchildren, Peyton Iris Piotraczk, Shane & Owen Benson; sisters, Jeannie (Joe) Ludwig and Sandy Lemmer; brother Bob (Judy) Bennett; sister-in-law Donna Mullett; step-sons, Tim, Chris and Mark Eckel and their families. Mary had many loved ones.

A special thank you to Kindred Hospice of Flint. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Mary on Saturday, August 27, 1-5pm at Holly Hills Clubhouse, 16181 Lancaster Way, Holly, MI 48442. There will also be a memorial at her church in Curran, those details are pending at this time.
