Marie Louise (Taubitz) Rice

Marie L. Rice, age 86 of Fenton, passed away on January 12, 2023. Marie was born on Easter Sunday, April 12, 1936 to Leo & Jeanne Taubitz in Flint, MI. She married Richard “Dick” in 1956, spending 62 years together. Marie leaves three loving daughters; Linda (Lynn) Welch, Ann (Harold) Rockman and Cynthia Rice. She was grandma to Raymond (Eva) Talbot, Robert (Meagan) Talbot, Jessica Rockman, Jasmin (Ryan) Rodriguez and Rachel (Garrett) Gormley. She also leaves 11 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, as well as; sister Jeannette Johnson, brother Michael Taubitz and sister-in-law Bernice Taubitz.

Marie loved music and played the piano most of her life. She enjoyed spending time on the sugar sand beaches of Lake Huron and putting her toes in the water. She kept busy with many hobbies over the years, making lifelong friends along the way. Marie was preceded in death by husband Dick, son Robert, parents, sister Ann Townsend, brother Joseph Taubitz and infant brother Anthony Taubitz.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
