Maria Lawless

With heavy hearts and somber souls we would like to announce that in the early morning of Monday April 17, 2023, Maria Lawless of Fenton, Michigan passed away at the age of 72 due to health complications. Maria was born October 22, 1950 to the loving parents Cornellio and Macedonia Sanchez Sr. in Rock Springs Wyoming. Beloved sister to Cornellio Sanchez Jr, Rosalee Fresquez, and Irene Sanchez. Maria grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah before making her way to Orange County, California where she met the love of her life Curtis R. Lawless. They were married November 28th, 1980 in Corona California. Maria was preceded in death by her beloved son William Turner and husband Curtis. She is survived by her loving children Joe Lawless (Tawney), Julie (Michael) Di Maria, Michael (Brenda) Turner, Mark(Katie) Lawless, and Jon (Natalie) Lawless. The loving Grandmother to her 8 grand children Austin, Erik, Katie, Ian, Jill, Hayden, Adriane, Mark, and Great Grandmother to William. Maria spent most of her adult life as a homemaker but in later years took great joy in being a direct care worker for the physically and cognitively challenged of Livingston county. On Wednesday April 19th from 11:00am-3:00pm A service and luncheon will be held at the Howell American Legion 3265 West Grand River Howell Michigan 48855.

God saw you getting tired and cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered Come to me, with tearful eyes we watched you pass away, although we loved you dearly we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. 

God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
