Margot Ann Brummett age, 84 passed away on November 12, 2021 in Fenton, MI. Born in Flint, MI. on September 23, 1937. She was a graduate of Fenton High School and ultimately graduated from U of M with a Master’s degree in social work. Margot taught 2nd grade in Flint for a few years and then went into Social Work. Her favorite place of employment was the Service Center for the visually impaired. She and her son enjoyed volunteering for the visually impaired and participating in Blind Beep Baseball, cross country skiing (Ski for light) and other activities. She enjoyed many family vacations with the Brown’s and the Labovitz’s. She was a member of St. Jude’s Church in Fenton, MI. She was also a member of the U of M alumni association. Margot was active at Dauner Haus and Wellbridge of Fenton until her death. She will always be remembered for her gift of conversation to all who would engage with her. And her fondness for sweets. Margot was very artistic, she loved horses, her family, and most of all collecting “found art”. Margot is survived by son Travis (Ellen), and many extended family members. She was predeceased by son Morgan and her parents Kenneth Nelson and Dorothy (Churchill) Nelson. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be made to of a charity of your choice. Memorial service to be announced.
