Margaret Mary Thompson “Peggy”, age 91, passed away on August 26, 2022. Beloved mother of James (Debbie) Thompson, William (Cris) Thompson and Larry Thompson. Dear grandma of Joe, Amber, Heather, Jenie, Jed, Rachel and Moriah. Margaret also leaves 15 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Fred & Nora Donovan and brothers, Bill, Ed and Jim. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday September 9, 2022, 7pm at Temrowski Family Funeral Home 500 Main St., Fenton. Friends may visit beginning at 4pm until the time of service.
Peggy graduated from St. Teresa High School in Detroit, class of 1949. She became interested in Radiology, receiving a certificate for her training in X-Ray technique from Leila Y. Post Montgomery Hospital in Battle Creek, later receiving certification as a qualified X-Ray technician from the American Registry of X-Ray Technicians. Peggy continued her pursuit of more radiology certifications, including Therapeutic Radiologic Technology and Instructor in Health Care. Peggy was great a balancing her family life with 3 children, eventually 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; as well as, her career. Peggy retired at age 70 after 50 years in Radiology. She was a hardworking, loyal woman who loved God and her family. She cherished tradition, enjoyed watching sports, playing cards, dancing and golf. Peggy’s great sense of humor, zest for life and disarming smile will be deeply missed.
