Lenore June (Pettis) Dunk

On July 5, 2023, Lenore June Dunk of Swartz Creek, MI passed away at age 70, surrounded by loved ones. Lenore (Lynn) was the daughter of Ralph and Mamie Pettis. Born December 7, 1952, Lynn spent most of her younger years in the Fenton and Linden areas. She graduated from Linden High School in 1971.

Lynn was a proud mother of Kenneth and Melissa Dunk, a devoted grandmother to both her biological and honorary grandchildren; Anthony, Te’Asia, Mason, Malik, JC, Shane, Chayton, Jarod, Alec, Daniel, Lillian, Lucas, and Austin, a loving sister to Bethany Burghdorf, Paula Masterson, and Shirley Olszak, and a dear aunt to a multitude of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by husband Ernest Dunk, parents Ralph and Mamie Pettis, and sister Vickie Siron.  

Lynn loved to learn; she achieved multiple college degrees from Baker College of Flint. Her true passion for learning was reflected in her lifelong hobby of genealogy. Lynn also loved reading mystery novels, listening to good music, and dancing no matter if it was on a dance floor or in the middle of a grocery store. Most of all she loved being surrounded by family.

A memorial service for Lenore will be held at 2pm on July 29, 2023, at Richfield United Methodist Church, 10090 E. Coldwater Rd Davison, MI 48423.
