Julia was a member of the Davison Eagles Club, VFW Auxiliary, Old News Boy volunteer, worked at Fisher Body in Flint and later retired from GM Truck and Bus Medal Fab.

She enjoyed planning potluck lunches for her coworkers and organizing lotto club, gardening, bingo, bowling, shuffle board and horseshoes.  She loved rooting for the Detroit Tigers and Michigan State (mostly because the team colors reminded her of her alma mater).  Her children will remember her most for her Big Heart and her strength.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Old News Boys online at OldNewsBoys.org, mail a check to 6255 Taylor Drive, Flint, Michigan 48507 or call 810-744-1840.
