Joseph Eugene Akers

Joseph E. Akers, age 60 of Fenton, passed away suddenly February 7, 2021 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, MI, following surgery on February 5, 2021.  He is the beloved husband of Lori Akers for 35 years and dear father of Joseph II and Cody.  Also surviving are his siblings, Sandy (Pat), Pam (Todd), and Debbie (Scott); and many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends.  Joe was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Ruth Akers.  Joe was a former employee at Holly Area Schools, GKI, Fenton Oaks, construction and landscaping.  Joe had a way with people. He loved to golf, ride motorcycles, all animals especially his two dogs, Crumpet and Whoopsie.  Most of all he loved his family.  Joe was taken from this Earth far too soon.  He will be missed and will forever be in our hearts.  In lieu of flowers a Gofundme (gf.me/u/zinm35) has been setup to help with costs.
