John "Papa" Vitovsky

Papa John, age 78, joined his parents John and Barbara Vitovsky, sister and brother in law Marilyn and Robert Finney, and grandson AJ Doran in heaven on May 2, 2023.  He leaves behind his daughter and son in law Joanne and Kevin Collick, son and daughter in law John and Lisa Vitovsky, grandchildren Victoria, Nate, Heather, Abby, and Eli, numerous nieces and nephews, and many beloved friends and 'adopted' family.  He was an avid fisherman and deer hunter, loved supporting his Spartans (Go Green!) and loved hosting Christmas Eve dinners.  He was a proud member of the General Motors Retirement Club after working at the V8 Engine Plant for over 30 years until they closed in the 90's, retiring as the Superintendent of Industrial Engineering.  He also worked for several years in Home Depot's Tool Rental department. He was an outspoken member of the NRA and a staunch republican.  Memorial visitation will Saturday, May 6, from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Temrowski Family Funeral Home
