John Damion Dula was born on May 18, 1980, in Framingham, Massachusetts to Catherine D. Dockery (nee: Clements) and John S. Dula and passed away in Fenton, Michigan on February 14, 2023, at the age of 42. In 2015, John met Lauren Cecilia Smith and was a loving father to their three children Phoenix, London, and Waylon. John had an amazing sense of humor and an infectious laugh. He enjoyed playing hockey, boating, camping, hiking, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. More recently John developed an appetite and a talent for cooking, and anyone who had the pleasure of tasting one of his slowly and painstakingly prepared culinary creations would certainly agree. He also had a passion for music that he reveled in sharing with those close to him and had a successful banking career for over twenty years.
John was a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. He is survived and missed by his children, Phoenix, London, and Waylon, as well as his mother Catherine D. Dockery, father John S. Dula, stepmother Laurie Dula, sister Adrion Dula, brother-in-law Joseph Kuhn, stepsister Leigh Cilano and brother-in-law Francesco Cilano, and nieces and nephews, Marco, Viviana, Giuliana, Alessandro Cilano, and Kadence Kuhn.
A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later time.
