John Beck Obituary

John was born to Jay and Sally Beck on Aug 1, 1948 in Flint, Michigan. John went to Mt Morris High School and graduated in 1966.  John met his wife Debbie in 1969 through some mutual friends. They had a daughter Tracie in 1970.  They found Jehovah during those next 2 years  and were married on Dec 8, 1973  at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and went on to have one more child, Michael in 1975.  In addition to being a dedicated and loving husband and father, John taught himself to play drums.  He had a love for music, it was in his blood.  John traveled the country in a band in his early 20’s, but after about a year he decided to stay in Flint with his family and help start a local band called Crystal Steel.   John continued playing drums throughout his life as a hobby.   John could pick up just about any instrument and teach himself how to play it.   He also loved rollerskating and singing karaoke.  John was very active, even teaching himself to ride a unicycle at the age of 50.  He had a love for life and lived it to the fullest.  John had an unwavering faith in Jehovah God, which he shared with everyone who came across his path.  He is survived by his wife, Deborah, his sisters, Lenora and Melanie, his children, Tracie, Michael and his wife Kim, and his grandchildren, Michael Austin, and Caeley “Sunnie”.  John took his last breath on June 2, 2021.  He is now in Jehovah's memory.  John's family and friends look forward to his resurrection in the new system of things, as promised in John 5:28,29.  Memorial services will be held on Zoom June 19 at 1 pm.  The sign in information for Zoom will be provided upon request.  Please contact Debbie, Tracie or Michael.
