Mr. John D. Balok, age 69 of Highland, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019 at Vicinia Gardens in Fenton. Mr. Balok was born in Detroit in 1949 to Vince and Frances(nee: Zytowski) Balok. He was married to Patricia (nee: Phillips) for 42 years. John was a Mechanical Designer for Fisher-Body Tooling who loved being outdoors, sailing, riding his motorcycle and watching his grandsons grow. Surviving are his children, Todd(Cassandra) Balok, and Gwynne(Brad) Erickson; grandsons, Jonathan and Matthew Balok; siblings, Gary(Becky) Balok, Lynn Balok, Randy Balok, and Gail(Merlin) Carman-Greenwalt; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia, and parents Vince and Frances Balok.
