Obituary
Jerry Dauer, age 65 of Byron Michigan, passed unexpectedly on June 30, 2023 with loved ones by his side. Born in Highland Park, Michigan, Jerry was raised in Detroit.
Jerry is survived by his wife Miriam (the love of his life); his children, Angela (Jon) Lapworth, Vicki Dauer, and son Jared Dauer. He is also survived by his siblings Bonnie Dauer Klisz, Patricia Dauer (Stephen) Kent, Daniel Dauer. He was pre-deceased by his parents Clarey and Ruth Dauer; his brothers, Joseph A. Dauer and Terry Dauer; and sister Barbara Fegert. He is mourned by his many nieces and nephews.
Until Jerry’s retirement in 2022, he was Site Superintendent for Gallagher-Kaiser. He worked throughout the U.S. and in Mexico, always proud to represent Sheetmetal Workers Local 292.
Jerry loved his families, home and work. He was an outdoors man, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, Harley rides and boating. He loved the BBQ pit and a cold one after the day’s end.
Memorial visitation will be Sunday, July 9th, from 10am until 3pm, with a Time of Remembrance at 1pm, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Jerry’s request was donations to his friend to help with his Son and Wife’s cancer bills.
