It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Michael Wood. Jeff passed at Lavigne Home for Compassionate Care on July 19, 2025, after a nine-month battle with Bladder Cancer. He leaves behind beloved life partner of 15 years, Brenda Bradley. Also surviving are sons Timothy (Sandera) Wood, Nicholas (Breanne) Wood; stepsons James (Liz) Bradley and Justin Bradley; and daughter-in-law, Megan Wood. Precious grandchildren include Hannah, Angeleena, Izabella, Tyler, Alex, Lucy, Kayla, Clayton and Ellison. Phyllis Ferguson was a special, lifelong friend.
Jeff was born April 9, 1956, to Eugene Wood and Juanita Netschke. He was a 1974 graduate of Troy High School. After graduation, Jeff pursued many different fields from cooking to maintenance to repairing typewriters and beyond. Special interests included watching classic television, deer hunting, road trips, and antique shopping. He absolutely loved doing craft shows with Brenda. Jeff was charismatic and easy to talk to, making shows fun and upbeat.
Preceding Jeff in death were his parents and son, Rick Wood. The family would like to give special recognition to Lavigne Home for Compassionate Care and The Medical Team Hospice for the excellent care they provided. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the GoFundMe page or Lavigne Home for Compassionate Care in Burton. Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
