Janet Marie Williams, age 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at her home in Swartz Creek, MI. with Hospice care. Janet was born July 9, 1938 in Croswell Michigan and was second to the youngest of 13 siblings. She was a dedicated wife and mother and lovingly known as "Spic and Span Jan" for her love and pride of a spotless home. After raising her children, she worked in a dental laboratory. For many years, she loved to cruise around in her Corvette and hit all the area sales, where she would find antiques to restore. She loved family, fishing, gardening, and visiting casinos. She also enjoyed playing cards, puzzling, board games, and Sunday movie nights. Over the years, she had a vacation home in Plant City, FL. and retired to Houghton Lake, MI. She is survived by her sister Ruth (Jim) Gailbraith of Croswell, and children Robert Mahrle of Durand, Beth Mahrle of Swartz Creek, Amy (Scott) Marshall of Grand Blanc, and son-in-law Mike Bell; Grandchildren Jacob Mahrle, Alexis Marshall, Justin (Megan) Moore, and Nick (Wendy) Moore. Also surviving are great grandchildren Aidan, Natalie, Madison, and Grant. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Williams, parents Clifford and Garnet Coleman, 11 siblings, first husband Robert Mahrle, daughter-in-law Drina Akers, and step daughters Cheryl Mensch and Brenda Bell. Cremation will take place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
