It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Jane (Nitchka) Binding Bradner, who passed away on October 17, 2024, at the age of 88.
Nitchka was born on January 10, 1936 in Manistee, Michigan. She grew up in Manistee, later moved to Hutchinson, Kansas, and graduated from Port Huron, Michigan. She earned a Bachelor Degree from the University of Michigan. This is where she met the love of her life. She was a dedicated and loving wife to her late husband, James Edward Bradner and a devoted mother to her children, Christopher William Bradner and Michael Peter Bradner.
Nitchka lived a fulfilling life and was a woman of many talents. She had a passion for cooking, baking, sewing, birdwatching, dog breeding, was an antique finder, wine lover, football fan, reader/lover of learning, enjoyed traveling the world, loved nature, adored entertaining those she loved, and her homemade dishes and baked desserts were the highlight of family gatherings. She was happiest when all those she loved were eating and laughing in her home.
Nitchka is survived by son Christopher Bradner (Theresa) and Michael Bradner (Lorin) of Howell, Michigan; four grandchildren Ashley (Vermilion), Tyler, Abby, and Madeline); and her great grandson Cu Chulainn. She is also survived by her dear friends and others who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents (John and Virginia Binding) and her loving husband, James Edward Bradner.
A private celebration of life will be held for immediate family members and close friends.
