James A. LaRowe

James (Jim) Alan LaRowe 4/15/1961 - 5/17/2025 Vassar, MI

James LaRowe, age 64, after a brief battle with cancer, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Cremation arrangements made by Temrowski Family Funeral Home. Jim was born in Flint, Michigan, to Ruth and William "Bill" LaRowe on April 15, 1961.

Jim worked for GM for many years before his passing.  He was a hardworking family man who loved his children and grandchildren with his whole heart.  He was generous to a fault and always available to lend a hand, a tool, a vehicle, renovation advice, and even money when asked.

Jim was an avid repairman of vehicles, be it a vintage car or snowmobile, or any motorized vehicle that landed in his garage.  There wasn’t a building, room, or roof that he couldn’t build, renovate, repair, or remodel.

His rescue dog Lady was his constant companion, both before and after his Mother passed, whether visiting family and friends, just following him around the yard feeding the deer, or tinkering in the garage.  He loved her dearly, and she will miss him immensely.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, William LaRowe, his mother, Ruth LaRowe, and brother Christopher LaRowe, and is survived by his three children Beth McAllister (Bennett Hawker), Sara (Brandon) Keatts, and Christopher (Chelsea) LaRowe; his three grandchildren, Cason and Landon Keatts, and Madison LaRowe; four siblings, Sue (Arnold) Nelson, DeWayne LaRowe, Dale (Rita) LaRowe, Colleen (Michael) Joliat.

The family has planned a Celebration of Life for Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Family Life Center, 1227 E. Bristol Road, Burton, MI  48529.
