Gregory Lee Pomeroy

Gregory Lee Pomeroy, 63, died November 22, 2021.

Greg was born October 24, 1958, in Flint, Michigan to Clifford and Germaine Pomeroy.

Greg had a big heart and a great sense of humor. He enjoyed writing poems and listening to music and was an avid concert-goer for much of his life. He also enjoyed cooking for and spending time with his friends and family. He was deeply loved and held a special place in the hearts of his four nieces who affectionately called him UG.

Greg also battled an opioid addiction and ultimately, no amount of love could help cure his illness. We are broken-hearted, but relieved that his struggle has ended, and he is now at peace. For those battling an addiction, know that someone is always willing to help if you are willing to help yourself. For those who supported his addiction, let this serve as your wake-up call.

He is survived by his sister, Trudy Erwin; sister-in-law, Sally Pomeroy; nieces, Jamie Whitten (Dan), Julie Peake (Jeff), Sheri Petrowski (Scott), and Erin Matthews (Jason); great nephews Seth Whitten (Sami) and Tony Mastin; great nieces Dylan Whitten, Avery Whitten, Layne Petrowski, Paige Petrowski and Winnie Matthews; one great, great niece coming soon; devoted friends Danny Bailey and Lance Glazier. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Germaine Pomeroy; brother, Jim Pomeroy; brother-in-law, Tony Erwin.
