Georgia Dene Coone, 91, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away May 18th after a short illness. Formerly residing in Fenton, but originally from Coloma/Benton Harbor Michigan. She dedicated her life to her family, and her children describe her as not only a strong and amazing woman, but also a best friend, therapist and always their rock and their haven.
Georgia was raised and worked on the family farm until she met and later married the love of her life Richard. Together they built a life filled with joy, hard work and the laughter of children. Georgia learned to be an excellent cook and homemaker. She loved to sew and craft and later became an avid quilter. She had a fabulous green thumb and accomplished so much, even using a computer and texting later in her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Richard (Dick) Coone, and their granddaughter Jennifer Coone, as well as her parents, brothers and several sisters. She is survived by their children Douglas Coone, Anita Collins, Kathryn (Randy) Lienemann, Sandra Coone and Nancy Gerren.
