Gary Stephen Tabor II, age 47 passed away on August 11, 2025. Gary was born in Detroit, MI on July 31st, 1978. He was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend whose presence brought joy and LAUGHTER to all who knew him.
Gary proudly served his country as a United States Marine Corps, retiring as a Staff Sergeant. During his military career, he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, serving with honor, courage, and unwavering dedication to his fellow Marines and his nation.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Lang, and father, Gary Tabor; his cherished daughters, Korryn, Hannah, and Caroline; and his two faithful dogs, Teddy and Dutton. He also leaves behind his sisters Jacquelyn, Theresa (Freeman, and Melissa (Joey); as well as his nieces and nephews Kayla, Brandon, Jackson, Eleanor, Ezekiel, and Colton.
A diehard Detroit Lions fan, Gary never missed an opportunity to cheer for his team. He was also an avid classic car enthusiast, finding joy in restoring and admiring timeless automobiles. Known for his loyalty and strong convictions, Gary was a proud Trump supporter who stood firmly for what he believed in.
Gary was deeply loved by his family, friends, and Marines; his absence will be felt by many. His memory will live on through the countless lives he touched.
Interment with Military Honors will take place Friday, August 22, 2025 at 10:30am at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.
A Celebration of Life will take place Friday, August 22, 2025 at 1pm at the Rochester-North Oakland Elks Lodge #2225, 3100 Pond Rd., Leonard. MI 48367.
