Gary McMillan Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we said goodbye to Gary John McMillan (from Cancer) at approximately 11pm Sunday May 22, 2022.  He will be greatly missed!

Gary would tell you that his top accomplishments where his girls, grandkids, great grandkids, family and friends.  He loved the peaceful mornings with his coffee, the sunrise and birds chirping.  He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and sun on his face. He loved working with wood, building houses, barns and just giving away stuff to others.  He had a big heart.  He was always there to help others and watch over his friends and family.  He loved his scratch-off tickets, friends at Beacon & Bridge, and going to casinos.

We will not be holding a funeral.  Gary will be having a “Celebration of Life” in his honor on June 26, 2022, from 1pm-5pm, at 3495 Tamarack Trail, Mt. Morris, MI, 48458.  If you have any questions, please call Angela at 810-955-8625. Any family and friends that want to attend and celebrate Gary’s life are invited.  Gary’s family asks that you write down some funny, or special memories into a notebook to leave with the family or share at the celebration.  Any copies of pictures to leave would be greatly appreciated also.  If you can’t make it there, we totally understand.  Maybe send notebook or pictures for someone to bring, please.

From Gary’s daughter’s – we want to thank dad for all the great memories and laughter through the years. Also for bringing us closer to more of our terrific family.  He helped to make our support system so large.

A special thanks goes out to Ann & Jerry Whitten, Chris Sommors, Rita & Dan Winkler, Lee & Carol McMillan, and Dianne & Larry Van Allen.  So many more people that stepped up over and beyond.  A special thanks to George; Gary’s best friend and “Bro” (Maybe not by blood, but by love”
