Ford W. Calkins, age 92, of Fenton, died February 3, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Anna. Dear father of Mike(Debi) Calkins, Jim Calkins, Carol (Douglas) Doemer, Debbie (Ron) Terry & Mary Jean (Rick) Koblinski. Loving grandpa of 16 and great grandpa of 37. Ford also leaves his sister Mona Riedel, many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ford H. & Mary Calkins and siblings, Charles and Eva. Ford was a hard worker who loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed woodworking and tending to his garden. Every Sunday for over 30 years, Ford would host a Pancake breakfast for his family and close friends. His homemade maple syrup was the highlight. He was always up for grilling and would say “I’m gonna burn some meat”. Every summer Ford would move his family to their cottage on McCaslin Lake. Many memories were made there. Ford would also take his family out for ice cream in his special bus. Ford will be greatly missed. His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 1pm at Temrowski Family Funeral Home, 500 Main St., Fenton. Friends may visit beginning at 11am until the time of service.
