Erma L. (Blosser) Huffman

Erma Loretta (Blosser) Huffman of Swartz Creek, went to be with our Lord and Savior on October 4, 2024. She was 84 years old. She was born in Franklin Township, MI to Monroe and Edith (Brown) Blosser on March 31, 1940. She married Glenn Huffman on November 10, 1956, in Harrison, MI. She spent her younger years in Harrison, before the family moved to Flint. She assisted Glenn in the running of their business, Anchor Custom Drywall, for many years. Our mother wasn’t like most mothers. She looked at everyone with unconditional love. She always had a smile on her face and would give a warm embrace. She would do anything or go anywhere for anybody. She always expressed love in her voice. If she swore you knew you really messed up. She not only raised her children, her home was always open for weekend sleep overs for her grandchildren, great grandchildren, neighbors, and their friends. Everyone was welcome. She never was open to give advice. She wanted you to find your own path, make your own mistakes. But she would always be there to pick up the pieces. She wasn’t a baker or a chef. The smoke alarm was the dinner bell. She loved gardening and flowers. Painting was her passion. She was a devoted member of the Calvary Christian Church in Swartz Creek for over 45 years. She wasn’t just a mom... she was home. RIP our sweet mother. Erma leaves behind brothers, Allen (Sharon) Blosser of Mundy Twp, Robert (Cheryl) Blosser of Burton, son; Steven (Barb) Huffman, step-sons; Thomas (Candis) Torman, Daniel (Diana) Torman, all of Flint, MI. daughters; Cheryl (Michael) Zeffer of Pensacola, FL, Lorri Huffman (Jeff Binder) of Clio, MI., 7 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Glenn (April 2024), father (1985), mother (2004), siblings; James (1944), Melvin (1945), Gerald (1956), Joseph (1962), David (2006), Dareld (2010), son, Wayne (2016), grandson, Curtis (2022), great-granddaughter, Annabelle (2015). 

There will be no viewing. Celebration of Life to be held at Calvary Christian Church, 7315 Corunna Rd, Swartz Creek, MI on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 3:00 pm. Burial at Crestwood Cemetery in a private ceremony.
