It is with great sadness that Donald (Buster) McIntosh of Bloomfield Hills, MI passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, with his family by his side at the age of 93 years old. He was born in Detroit, MI to Norman and Lillian McIntosh on March 13, 1933. He was the youngest of three where he grew up in Detroit, MI. He attended Lincoln High School and started working in the family private ambulance service at the age of 17. His parents started the business in 1926 and he eventually took the business over with his sister and brother where he worked for 63 years.
Surviving children: Craig, Donny J, Michael, Bryan, Elizabeth and Matthew. 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was a collector of antique wooden boats & classic automobiles. He and his late wife, Verlaine, found their greatest passion in building Snug Harbor, their cottage house. It became the foundation and gathering place they created for their children, grandchildren and friends.
Donald, also known as Pipi, created wonderful memories and taught valuable lessons that will continue to live in the hearts of all who loved him.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 10:00 am St. Hugo of the Hills Parish
