Derwin Thomas Jones

Derwin Thomas Jones, Age 87, of Lewiston Mi passed away on Monday, November 16,2020.  Graveside service will be held on Wednesday November 18, 2020 9:00 am. At Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly Mi. Those desiring may make contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project. Derwin was born April 4, 1933 in Morrice Michigan,the son of Russell and Martha Jones.Derwin went to Fenton high school.  He was a Korean war veteran who served in the United States Navy. He retired from Fenton machine & tool. He also worked for many years at Garland Golf Course. He was a member of the Eagles in Fenton. He enjoyed bowling, horseshoes and grilling out with family and friends. Surviving are : children Sandra Hurley, Stacy Cindy Gary. Sisters, Donna Jones(Shane) Carol Jones(Brown) 4 Grandchildren 10 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren and twin grandchildren on the way. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Jones, parents and brothers Dwayne, twin brother Erwin Jones and son Larry Jones. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. His famous dance moves and humor will never be forgotten.
