Dawn Tali, age 89, peacefully passed away on June 4, 2024. She was born May 15, 1935, in Flint, Michigan to the late Clarence and Olive Booth. After graduating in 1953 from Flint Central High School, Dawn spent several years as a Stenographer and then worked for General Motors where she was reunited with high school classmate, Joe Tali in 1965. They were married a year later, sharing 54 wonderful years together prior to his passing in 2019. Dawn was a very active and generous woman, loved by all who knew her. She was a Girl Scout leader, volunteering at the schools and church, all while raising five wonderful children. In her retirement, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, crafts, playing golf and spending time with her family. Known as Nanny to her grandchildren, she always put family first, looked forward to overnight stays and crafting with the kids and was always there when needed. Adored by her family and everyone she met, she will be sorely missed and fondly remembered.
Dawn is preceded in death by her husband Joe; her brother, Bud Booth; sisters, Kathleen Hains and Patricia Martin; daughter Tammy Tali. She is survived by her son Kevin Pardee (Lorrie) of Jacksonville, FL; daughter Sherry Quijano (Abe) of Byron, MI; daughter Kelley Sharon (Ed) of Naples, FL; son, Joe Tali (Linda) of Grand Blanc, MI; extended family, Noreen Patterson of Swartz Creek, MI; fifteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. At Dawn’s request a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
