In loving memory of David Michael Anderson, 69, of Brighton, MI born November 26,1953, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2023, after his courageous and brief battle with dementia.
He was a Brighton High School graduate of the class of 1972. For forty years, Dave worked for the United States Postal Service, Ann Arbor division, as a letter carrier. While tending to a favored route on the University of Michigan campus, Dave cheered for the Wolverines while delivering mail, and enjoyed conversing and joking with the students, even though he was a diehard Ohio State Buckeye fan.
Survivors include three brothers; Joe, Tom (Lily), and Tim (Debbie). Proud father of Nathan and Jeff (Jennifer), and beloved grandfather to Madison, Liam, Eric, and Brady. His four legged friend Mr. PeeWee, was always near. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Lynbrun Anderson Jr. and Margaret Jane (Wiltsee) Anderson.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, May 22, 2023 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 711 Rickett Road in Brighton. Visitation will begin at 9:30 A.M. until the time of mass. Interment will follow at the Old St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery, 5731 Whitmore Lake Rd., Ann Arbor, MI.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Eric Hartwell Foundation, near to Dave’s heart for who his grandson, Eric, is named after.
