Danny L Steiner, 72 of Grand Blanc, Michigan passed away on April 24, 2024 at his home. He was born April 15, 1952, in Holly, Michigan.
Danny grew up in Hartland, Michigan, where he excelled in sports. He graduated from Hartland High School in 1970 and went into the family cement business. He never ventured far from his family home, and he made strong and lasting friendships in his work. Danny turned over the business to one of his sons and left construction. He returned to his passion for sports and focused on tennis. He excelled in his ability to play and at the same time was a natural as a coach. Later he accepted a position at the Ascension Genesys Health Club and became one of the tennis pros, until his death.
He is survived by his siblings; Janet (Bill) Steiner-Riggs, Don Steiner, Jackie Steiner-Callaghan. Dan married and divorced twice; his first wife, Carolyn Smith-Steiner and one son, Joel Steiner. Upon his divorce, his second marriage was with Carol Austin-Passmore, and they had three sons, Jacob Steiner (Natasha), Nicholas Steiner (Tiffany), Ethan Steiner (Zoe) and 2 grandchildren Wyatt and Anastasia.
He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family, with a special place, for those colleagues and students at the "Club". He truly loved his students as they did him. He made an impact on many of his student's lives that never will be forgotten.
When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and was a strong warrior until the very end. He will be missed dearly. There are no words that can express how grateful and blessed we have been to have this man in all our lives.
A celebration of life will occur on Sunday, May 19, 2024, 12 Noon - 4:00 PM at Genesys Banquet and Conference Center, Ascension Genesys Health Club, 805 Health Park Blvd, Grand Blanc, MI 48439.
