Dale E. “Red” Goss, age 93 of Fenton died on May 21, 2023 at his home. Dale was born on June 3, 1929. He was a lifelong resident of Fenton. A memorial service will be held at Fenton First Presbyterian Church, 503 S. Leroy St, Fenton at 11 a.m. on June 10th preceded by visitation at 10 a.m. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. While stationed at Camp Desert Rock near Las Vegas, NV, he helped build an auditorium that was used to give presentations of the A-Bomb technology. He held various jobs throughout his life including those of building houses with his father and delivering liquor with his brother, Jack, to businesses in the local area. He retired from the City of Fenton in 1991 after 15 years as the Zoning and Building Administrator and Building Inspector. Dale had many hobbies including fishing, hunting, woodworking, gardening and watching Fenton sports. He enjoyed volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. Surviving is sons Daniel (Terry) Goss of Scottsdale, AZ; Dennis Goss of Linden; daughter Debra Goss of Grand Blanc and special daughter Sue (Robert) West of Fenton; grandchildren Skylar Goss, Amanda West, Zachary West and Amelia West; sister Darla Oxley, brothers-in-law Ron Millington, Wayne (Sandra) Millington and Dale (Barbara) Millington; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna (nee Turner) and Wesley Goss; wife, Jean Goss; brothers Jack Goss and Gene Goss; brother-in-law Robert Oxley.
