Charles Everett Johnson

Charles E. Johnson, age 89, passed away surrounded by his family on June 23, 2022. Beloved husband of Margaret for 69 years. Dear father of Ronald (Marla), Lynn (Terry) Byrne, Thomas (Cathy), Kathryn (Bob) Baker, Shelly Johnson and Christopher (Patricia).  Loving grandfather of Shannon, the late Megan, Chad, Dustin, Lauren, Amy, Ashlee and Bradlee.  Wonderful great grandfather of Bri, Madi, Taylor, Devyn, Jordyn, Belle, Jamison, Alexa, Noah, Timothy and one on the way. Great great grandfather of Teagyn. Brother of Jean (the late Paul) Smith. Uncle of Jim & Mark.

Charles was born In Cookville, Tennessee on August 1, 1932 to Amos & Lois Johnson.  He was a self-taught plumber and electrician. He also had many other talents including woodworking and drawing.   Charles enjoyed being outside tending to his garden or exploring nature; yet, nothing compared to his hobby of collecting.  His collections included; coins, knives, buckles or anything with an Eagle on it. Charles’ greatest love of all was his family. He adored his wife and was a wonderful role model as Patriarch of the family. He will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 27, 4-8pm at Temrowski Family Funeral Home, 500 Main St., Fenton. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 6pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1025 Main St., Fenton.  Pastor Peter Ahlersmeyer officiating.
