Caroline Myra Grace was born in Fairgrove, Michigan in 1934 to Pat and Lola Austin. Caroline lost her battle to Alzheimer’s with advancing Dementia on June 21, 2021.
Caroline was a kind, loving, and sweet mother of 3 children; Son, Dale (Debra) Burkel; Daughters, Donna B. (Richard)Cronk and Dana S. (Raymond) Emmendorfer. Grandmother to Rachel, Ryan and Cory.
Caroline worked for 25 years at the GM Truck plant where she retired in 1981. She was called the paymaster, the banker, and the boss, as she ran a sanitation crew and was a salaried employee. She lived on the lake and loved to swim, fish and was a wonderful water skier for many years. She volunteered for the Fenton Head Start program and for Adopt-A-Pet. She loved to feed the stray cats and tried to keep them all. Simple pleasures have brought her great joy as she loved to read her Bible, to sit and drink coffee and watch the water on the lake, these things also gave her great peace. Caroline loved to go on car rides anywhere. She also maintained a love affair with ice cream, her favorite was chocolate. Caroline is now at peace with Jesus.
